The Critical Filipina/o Studies Cluster of UCSC draws on the work of the Critical Filipina and Filipino Studies Collective on the War on Terror, the war on political activists in the Philippines, and the extension of the U.S. prison-industrial complex to the regions outside U.S. borders. The cluster will emphasize both scholarship and community organizing.
